ok.  does a dimension 2400 have an AGP slot?  because i'm sick of running games slow and I'm ready to go buy a Radeon but I can't figure out if my computer has a slot for it.

    techd_loser,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

No the Dimension 2400 does not have an AGP slot. If you want to upgrade your video you will need to go with a PCI solution.

Explain why dell is to cheap to put 7year old technology on its boards. Because all Pentium 4 boards should come with an AGP.

You bought a cheap system. You get what you pay for and ask for. As for AGP the newer systems coming out do not even have it as it is being discontinued and is being replaced by PCI express. If you wanted a system with AGP you should have checked the spec sheets and gotten one that supported it. Do your research and you will not be so disapointed in what you don't get that you really did not ask for.

Gateway is no different than Dell.  We have heard, god only knows how many member's, complain about not having an agp slot on a very low end computer.  Its the buyer, not Dell who is at fault.  Please do just a little  home work before you buy anything like a computer, tv, auto, heart surgery, marriage, income tax, etc...Its not that difficult to do, and please stop crying about your over sight.  We have all heard it sooooo many times.

The 2400 has AGP graphics, it just doesn't have an AGP EXPANSION SLOT.  This is typical of low end systems by all manufacturers, Not just Dell.
