I don't know whether it's a 100 or a 133.  The only downside will be the cabling.  You'll have to rig a rail to place the drive in the empty optical drive bay (5.25") or come up with a heck of a cable to run the drive in the normal HD second space.  Pricing on SATA drives is comparable with EIDE drives, why not go with another SATA?  Perhaps you have an extra EIDE lying around?  External USB case was my choice.  Some have reported heat issues based on the tray alignment with dual hard drive setups.  Good luck with whatever you wind up doing.

I ran Media Center and Vista off the IDE while waiting for the SATA replacement (which shipped overnight, except it was the weekend).

All worked fine, even at the slower speed.

Meanwhile, what's that P4 cable to hook up  a six-pin device?

No idea, unless its for an add on card, but the P-4 connector is shown in the D-9150 power supply, pin assignments.
