Feedbacks anyone?

I don't actually have a question but I need some feedbacks or comments about refurbished computers that Dell is selling. Has anyone ever bought one and are they really good machines compared to brand new ones. I already have 2 computers at home (bought new) and I plan to buy a used one from Dell.

So can anyone give their comments about the systems. I would really appreciate it before I buy a used one from Dell.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Just a thought, But "why" would someone that just bought a new system feel the need to return the system to Dell? That is what these system are, new systems that were returned.

    Think about it

I've purchased refurbished systems for work and recently purchased a refurbished 4100 for personal use. My experience is that I've never had a problem with any of them. My 4100 even had a quiet fan! I've had more problems with new systems.

The refurbished systems are fully tested (I think they are tested more fully than new systems) and carry full DELL warranties. I think if you find the right configuration at a good price its a good value. Remember, getting a new system is no guarantee of a problem free machine.

I purchased a refurbished XPS B733 last April and have never had any major problems with it. Dell Tech support was great when I needed it. I plan on getting a new 4100 but will keep my XPS B as a backup. Very pleased with my present system.
