believe it or not I have all of that on my computer other then that virus program.  I just don't know what to do, I called geek squad and they wanted $200 and I just can't do that this time of year w/two kids.  I know whatever did this is off the computer now I even cleaned it in safe mode, but the damage was done.  someone from microsoft forum told me to create another login but you can't do that when you are unable to enter it. I just hope someone knows what to do so I can save some money.  the other post I had from there told me to enter something in the run program and it takes you to registry editor.  But my luck my oldest son hit something on the computer and it froze and stupid me didnt write it down so i dont remember.  well anyway thank you for trying!

what pc do you have did you get an os disk when you bought it or not if not your pc might have a  pc restore partition that will put your pc back the way it was when you first bought it

I never got a disk when I got the computer, and I have tried system restore and it says nothing needs to be done (something like that)  I don't know what else to do!  Even my live one care is messing up and I can't remove it because I can't get into the control panel.  I have tried to do that update to fix one care and that doesn't work.  And this is the list I have on my computer to protect it and this still happened!  GO FIGURE!  LOL  I added live one care to try it out when this happened to make sure everything was off that caused this.

way to many virus programs!! can you get into safemode. restart your pc and when the dell logo screen comes on start tapping  F8  and then scroll to the top of the list safe mode with the arrow keys and hit enter another screen will load and it will have windows xp on it just hit enter again then another screen will load and it will have a bunch or word lines on it  then a screen will come up with start up buttons one as administrator and possibly one with your pc name if you have one click administrator and a window will pop up that says" you have chosen safe mode if you if you wish to enter'' click yes .  while in safe mode you should be able to access control panel and your programs and get rid of all but a couple of those virus programs  . click start >programs >and then on those antivirus programs you dont want see if you can run the uninstallers to many of them will totaly conflict with each other. most of those virus programs should have uninstallers get rid of them that way first and then if they dont have the uninstallers go to add and remove programs and do it from there.

I was only able to get rid of two, even under admin I cannot get into control panel.  So I did the ones that I could uninstall without that.  Any other ideas?  lol  I wish I could get rid of the live one care that thing is driving me crazy.  It will not update nothing but it keeps blocking everything too.  Thanks for trying.

what pc do you have ??? will you please give this info,,,and have you ever had the hard drive  reformatted or anything like that. you have some messed up stuff if you cant access controlpanel in safe mode the best thing and the cheapest thing to do is to use ''pc restore'' if your pc has that option but you will loose all of your software and data that were not on the pc when you first bought it from dell. it will return the os to like it was when it was new then you can reinstall all the other stuff later. here go's,, start pc when the dell logo screen comes on hit ''ctrl'' then ''F11''  and let off of both keys at the same time if the sound is on you should hear a beep , another screen will come on saying you have entered pc restore by symantic if you choose to continue you will loose your data or something like that . choose to continue  and the screen should go blank and then do some other stuff just let it go and do its thing  then it should say pc restore was successful  this stuff takes like 10 or 15 minutes to go through  .if the windows splash screen comes on after the ''ctrl''''F11'' then u missed it let it run through  and hit restart after it all boots up and try again. if your pc doesnt have this option your going to most likely have to have the os reinstalled .

DELL windows xp home Inspiron/b130.  I hope that helped, I don't know what else you need, and where to find it.  never reformatted.  The bad thing all of this happen when I was on live search, I don't know if you ever heard it, from msn you play a game requires you to do searches, well one of them pulled up pictures of bears (teddy)  I am big on graphics because I do scrappbooking, anyway I figured I would click the link to get the picture saved bigger, well guess what, NOT A GRAPHIC SITE it was a porn site, it ended up taking forever to load and when it did I couldn't get out of it, I know something was up, so I went to the disable on the internet so I could get off.  right after that my computer was saying a warning about my system.  I tried some of those programs to get it off, I finally get the warning off but I still can't get into some programs.  I did have some of those spywares but not all of those.

 

I have done system restores, but not like that.  And if that doesn't work how would I get the os reinstalled?  Some people tell me the geek squad is good, but I don't want to get ripped off.  I will just have to wait until after the holidays to do it.

 

I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of the help you have given.  First I am going to have to print some stuff so I don't lose it and I will try what you said.  I will check here first just in case you tell me otherwise.

But do you think that registry cleanup is safe for me to use?  lol I seem to have the worse luck, I am scared I will mess everything up.  I do have registry pro on a disk, but I don't know how good it is.  W/my old computer the guy said I messed it up w/the registry pro.  So I never used it again.  Thank you again and Happy Holidays!
