Keyboard does not display the @ symbol

Hello,

I just got a new Dell StudioXPS 8000 with Windows 7 Home edition.

A Keyboard question -

I cannot type the @ symbol using shift + 7, I get this " symbol ( I copied and pasted the @ symbol foir this post )

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the 'Location' and 'Keyboard & language settings' in Control Panel --> Region and Language, to make sure they're set correctly?

Now it works fine. I had the settings on Canadian English as I live in Toronto. Now that I set all my Keyboard settings to US, the @ symbol works with shift + 2.
