Lock Up on closing Dial Up

Most of the time when I close an internet connection everything is fine. About 5% of the time, just as I close the dial-up, everything locks up. Nothing works. Not even CTRL-ALT-DEL. I have to use the restart button. Any ideas?

The times this has happened to be it was beacuse Windows dial-up networking did not close before I tried to shutdown. To see if this is the cause of your problems, do a ctrl-alt-del and "end task" on rnaapp befor shutting down. If this works that is your problem. Microsoft has several updates available for Win 95 dial-up networking.

Here is the Microsoft shutdown troubleshooting article:

I installed the latest update to the Dial-Up Networking. Time will tell if this fixes the problem. Thanks.
