- This may sound too simple, but have you tried rebooting? I had a similar thing happen (actually lost all the commands on the start menu) and rebooting brought them all back. Evidently, just a hiccup.

Xerox Docuprint M750 Inkjet Printer - Well, I had hoped you were going to say WinXp. Perhaps Me works similar. Try right clicking on the task bar and selecting Properties. Check for options to customize the start menu and perhaps there is a check box to enable/disable showing the 'run' command.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the Windows 98/ME menus will scroll.
If your start menu runs from top to bottom of your screen then look for a couple of small down or up arrows at the top and bottom of your start menu. If they are there then just hover over them and your start menu will scroll.
