Monitor Problem

I have a 19" Dell Monitor.  Unfortunately before I left the office tonight, I forgot to write down the model.

Late this afternoon, I walked away from my desk and when I walked back to it saw that everything on the monitor was SIDEWAYS.  I could not get it to go back and only by bending my head to the side, could I manipulate the cursor so I could send the last email that had to go out tonight, and then I had to manually turn the computer off a I couldn't use Start (couldn't really find it).

I tried the buttons on the right side of the screen, but because I didn't know what I was looking for, I wasn't able to get it to go back.  Does anyone have a clue how I can fix this?

The key combination that worked in this case was CTRL+ALT+UP ARROW KEY.

    All is well!

Thanks so much for the help.

    Hi RonSMar,

I believe the hotkey combination to fix this is CTRL-ALT-arrow key right or left.

Oh, thanks very much.  I'll try that as soon as I get back in the office tomorrow, and will let you know.  In all the years I've used a PC I never had anything like that happen before!
