I ran Dell's online PC Diagnostics on my Dimension 4700. During the first several minutes, the program downloaded and installed several files, after which it then ran a series of tests. To see if my computer was then up-to-date, I then went to Dell's Drivers & Downloads web page to see if my computer now had all of the updated drivers (thinking that the PC Diagnostics program was downloading and installing them during the first serveral minutes that it was running). However, the Drivers & Downloads section indicated that there were one Urgent and three Recommended driver and other updates still required on my computer (based I assume on the Service Tag number that I provided and an analysis of my computer). However, when I tried to download and install the first one (an update to the Dell Driver Reset Tool), I received an error message saying that this file was already loaded on my computer. My question is does the PC Diagnostics program install all of the updated Dell drivers, etc. that are required, or do I still have to go the Drivers & Downloads area to check to see if my system is up-to-date? Also, is the list of drivers and other updates listed after I insert my Service Tag number the specific drivers that should be updated for my specific computer? Thank you.
