Turn them off until you're totally booted up, that should work. :) Somtimes when I give power back to my speakers while the switch is on they make a loud "spark" type sound.

It is the turtle beach drivers. Dell is working on the problem
but hasn't released a fix yet. They told me the workaround
was to unplug the microphone, and it has worked on my
8200 system. Can't locate the specific answer that they
sent a couple of months ago. Any way, if your microphone
is plugged in, try unplugging it until the machine is completely
booted.

This problem is with the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz drivers. I have not seen any posting referring to the Montego sound card drivers.
