Hi,

  I'm thinking of upgrading my old Area 51 (If I recall correctly it was the lunar shadow chassis from 2010)

I'm concerned about the Active thermal venting on the top of the base, if I put in a new generic motherboard, will the venting at the top of the chassis still open? (do they have a default state of open?) I'm assuming it will have nothing to connect to on the new board unless it's using an internal USB socket, 

Any advice is greatly appreciated on this
