- Not to worry. This has been an ongoing question since time and memorial. Our Dell power supplies are underrated, and is the mean average, and the peak is higher. The cards has a suggested power wattage requirement, but not in stone. You will be fine. Many of us have had a card or two that suggested a 350 watter and we did well with our stock 250 watter. My old stock 250 watter has a peak power of 345 watts for your information.

Yes, you can upgrade the video chip that you have. The better one is the 6200 PCI slot card.
