What does this mean?

There are old posts that have a history of my problems in this forum if you're curious; it's a long sad story. Have Dimension 8200 with Windows ME.

Trying to run the Dell Resources CD Diagnostics -

What does this error mean?
Application E:\diags\dim32\A1073\Delldiag.exe has caused an exception: Access violation
EAX:00000002h EBX=00000000h ECX=00638264h EDX=00000000h ESI=00000000h EDI=0063860Ch EBP=0005EC08h DS=0014h FS=0114h GS=0014h EFlags=00010246h CS:EIP=000Ch:006067DFh SS:ESP=0014h:005EB7Ch

I may have gotten a colon mixed up with an equal mark somewhere in there.

Thanks in advance.

For assistance with the Diags, I'd suggest contacting Tech Support by phone. They're used to working with those tests on a daily basis, and if nothing else, they may be able to tell you whether an issue beyond your control is causing the error, and get you started getting it resolved. There is little to no research material available for proprietary applications like the Diags, outside of Dell.

    Good luck.

Your Resource CD may be damaged, if you really need to run diags then
go to the dell file Library & download CD110110.exe.
