I've been a gamer for 15 yrs.  Only 7 yrs on the PC.  I'm 30 yrs old and my wife just graduated with a graphics design degree and she told me she must have an apple powerbook.  I was in the situation where I had a Dell desktop 1.8 GHz with a pretty decent video card.  I convinced her that a 8600 laptop was the way to go.  i ordered it and within 10 days it was packaged up and sent back due to the bad resolution on the screen and my wife's preference for an apple.  After many discussions and many more dollars than any laptop I have ever seen, we ordered a 1.0 GHz Apple powerbook laptop.  I was not really looking forward to receiving it. 

 

We have had our powerbook for 1.5 yrs now and I couldn't imagine a better laptop that could excist.  For one, not one lockup or crash, and not one pop up since the day we received it.  I just got off our PC playing Unreal Tournament with 3 pop ups during the game. 

 

My point:  if your looking for anything, I mean anything that doesn't deal with a computer game, there is no doubt that the best computer that one can buy is from Steve Jobs and the Apple company.  Granted, I waited in line in TN for 6 hrs to buy a Xbox 360 and bought Perfect Dark, COD II and NBA 2K6 from Microsoft and there is not a better console, PC or anything that can match this right now, but for everyday normal activities outside of gamiing, an Apple can not be beat.

 

My wife has conviced me that the Mac is supreme for computing and that no one can hold a candle, not even a match to the Apple brand.  Good luck everyone else.  If video game companies ever start coming out with games for the Apple and the PC simultaneously the PC industry is done.
