The right panel is made to come off. Just reseat it.

you must be thinking the right panel that for doing hardware maintenance (the panel that have puller to open)

that panel was fit perfectly the one i want to reseat is another side (the side that motherboard attached to it)

can i reseat that panel ?

That is a difficult thing to do. We do not even offer pictures on how to do this. I did it once and the pieces never fit back together snugly.

Hislyphnier , I was just searching for something on the Forum and ran across your (April 28, 2009) Post about removing and aligning the ‘non-removable’ side panel.

If you have decided to just leave your case alone – that’s great. In fact, looking at your picture – it looks like a pretty standard spacing – just about the same as on the removable door.

Also check and make sure that the case top is on tight – it is only glued on and may be loose on one side (making the side – top space greater on that side).

It takes some time to remove and replace the ‘non-removable’ side  panel – you have to remove everything except the black plastic front and back panels (motherboard; Master Control Board and base; Power Supply and harness; hard drives and cages; all DVD, Media, Floppy drives, etc).

Also it seems like it would void your warranty to remove and replace everything in the case?

Once you have everything out of the case you will see that there are several screws holding the ‘non-removable’ side panel on. A couple of the screws are hidden by the (really non-removable) DVD/Media/Floppy cage – but there are holes in the cage to access the screws. When (if) you put it back on you have to tape those screws to a long screwdriver to get them back in.

It’s not really hard – just takes a bit of time to carefully take everything out and put it all back in. Make sure you have thermal paste before you start - you will have to clean and reapply the paste to the CPU during reinstallation (CPU and Southbridge for H2C).

Once you have the side panel off, to re-align the panel just bend the tabs (where the screws were) in the direction you need. Loose fit the panel before screwing it back on to check.

I have replaced a couple side panels due to scratches and dents – but not alignment. Again- yours looks pretty standard in the picture (to me).
