XPS 730 / New Nvidia Drivers

Ok,

Well, i unstalled everything, all nvidia drivers, programs, rebooted, then used driver sweeper to clean display/chipset, rebooted.

Then i installed, Display Driver ( 178.24 ), nforce mobo drivers ( 20.08 ), and 6.03 nforce system tools, with the new firmware from dells download page.

It all worked except i didn't have internet? apparently the 20.08 nforce version doesn't install the Ethernet drivers like it should, at least for me, i just did a system restore and back to my original setup.

I suppose if it was working good no reason to update.

I installed nforce drivers (20.08) without uninstalling the original drivers, so far everything works for me including the internet. I did uninstall Nvidia's System Tools and install version 6.03. Again, no problems there.

The Dell mobo uses a different ethernet card than what the Nvidia drivers provide.  You must ALWAYS uncheck the ethernet drivers when installing the  software from Nvidia.

Device manager shows that the XPS730 uses Nforce Network drivers.

My bad.  I was not aware that the 730 had Nvidia ethernet card.

Ok, i confirmed that the 20.08 release for nforce mobo drivers is bugged, it doesn't install the ethernet drivers, so if you plan on installing, leave the current ethernet drivers installed, but uninstall everything else.

    or just stick to 15.23
