I have a XPS One 2710 with a 1 TB HD

I want to add a 128 GB SDD in the mSATA slot.

I want to used the SSD as the boot drive for Windows. I do not want to use it as a cache with Intel RST.

1) Can I do it?

2) Intel RST is not set to RAID. I assume that is OK, I can simply add the SSD and the change the boot order in the BIOS

3) I will then install Windows and the Dell programs on the SSD from the Dell recovery disks that I created. Is that OK?

4) Is this configuration preferable rather than using the Intel RST cache?

5) Wil I have problems later when I will upgrade to Windows 8? I read "Do not disable Intel RST in BIOS, unrecoverable blue screen".
