i have a inspiron 700m and i uninstalled the OS that it was preinstalled with, which was windows xp home and i installed my windows xp professional on it, and i got all of the drivers installed except for one and it is the "Mass Storage Controller" driver.

You need to install the chipset and notebook system software (support.dell.com, enter service tag, choose downloads).

I installed the intel mobile chip set already twice and nothing happened and I installed the dell notebook software as well, and it still can't get the driver for the mass storage controller.

SP2 has native driver support for the TI SD device--SP1 does not.

I installed Win XP Pro Service Pack 2 and the drivers are not found for the mass storage controller. Does Dell have an actual solution to this issue?
