9300 memory

Can I use/install 3rd part memory, e.g. Transcend brand, type DDR2/533mhz-PC4200/sodimm with clock latency = 3?

Yes, that chip should work with your 9300. I am using the following chip with my 9300: Kingston Technology 1GB 533MHz KVR533D2S4/1G DDR2 PC2-4200 SODIMM Module.

Same here. I got 1GB Kingston DDR2-PC4200 from Kingston.com for $154 shipped.
