bluetooth isnt in system tray

 bluetooth doesnt activate at all. can anone help. Ive made sure wIss is allowing bluetooth but nope stil doesnt work. It keeps saying no bluetooth device detected when I try to do anything in regards to bluetooth. doesnt show up in system tray and says that its stopped

any help would be much appreciated

    Try the steps below:

    1. Click Start
    2. Click Control Panel
    3. Click Bluetooth Devices
    4. Click the Options tab
    5. Click Show the Bluetooth Icon in the notification area
    6. Click OK

    What model laptop do you have, and what OS are you using?

    Those are the bare minimum we need, before we can offer specific advice :emotion-55:

     

     

    In the meantime... the most obvious question/suggestion:  Have you tried reinstalling/updating the bluetooth drivers?

    I have tried updating drivers.

    I have a dell mini 9 running windows xp home edition 2002 service pack 3

    thanks to everyone that has contributed ti solving this problem for me. I still cant get the bluetooth to work, it hasnt worked the whole time ive had the computer. I feel like ive tried everything. any advice.
