Bluetooth services wont start - problem using headset
I'm having problems using a Plantronics M3000 headset on my Latitude D500.
I've installed the latest Bluetooth software/drivers from Dell - version 3.0.1.804, dated april 26 2004.
All Bluetooth devices, including the headset, are found, paired and scanned for services/profiles they offer. (actual terms may vary - i'm using a german windows XP)
But when i try to connect the only service my headset offers, the connection fails - after several windows have opened and closed very quickly, including my system properties and hardware list. Afterwards, a new "Bluetooth Audio Device" by Widcomm is listed there unter audio/video/game controllers.
I've noticed similar behavior when i try to active "my audio gateway" oder "my headsets" from my bluetooth services: windows popping up and closing, an audio device existing if it wasnt there before, and the service cant be activated, error code 0x81000015
So my guess is that these two headset related bluetooth services are broken in some way, everything else seems to be working, file transfer (and the according service) work fine and any given bluetooth device is found and paired just fine.
Any ideas?
