Booting Issue

Hi, I have an Inspiron N4050. Recently while switching on after the Dell logo screen an error message is showing which goes like "Boot drive = 80, not CD". Also, a warning " MBR Cylinders (1024) is not equal to the BIOS One (1023)". and I have to keep pressing enter to boot up the laptop.

I tried installing a new BIOS Driver. But the problem persists.

    Hi Gorgeous7,

I would advise that you load defaults in the BIOS. Please follow the steps mentioned below to load the BIOS to defaults.

    1. Reboot the computer.
    2. When prompted during POST, press the key to enter the setup screen.
    3. On the System Setup screen, press the key.

Press the key on Yes to Load Optimized Defaults and restart the computer and check.

If the issue still persists, i would suggest you to reinstall the operating system after backing up all the data.
