Dell C840 Processor upgrades
I'm thinking of upgrading my Dell C840 to a faster Processor. Currently have a 1.6 GHZ P-IV
m and want to put in a 2.4 GHZ. I've seen the Processor Chip on eBay and would like to know if it is a straight forward "just replace the Processor Chip" or is there more to it than that.

Yes, as long as you get a 2.4 GHz mobile Pentium 4 M. Note that there are others that won't work - the mobile P4 (without the -m), the desktop P4, the Pentium M (and Core derivatives). ONLY the mobile P4-m will work.
