Dell XPS M1210 Start up problem
A Dell XPS M1210 with XP doesn't want to start up. I tought it was the AC adapter cable, but with or without it, wit the battery or with out it it just blink the lights and it doesn't start up. The battery have two lights of charge. It seams that the cables are fine and the battery, what can be?

To make sure it's not the motherboard that has gone bad, I would recommend removing the hard drive, dvd/cd drive, and try one stick of memory at a time. If that doesn't work, I hope you have a valid warranty.

If the Lock lights (caps, num, scroll) lights are solid or blinking it is a "No POST" situation. if you post the light code (on or flashing for the lights) That can tell us more information about the problem.
I recommend to run the hardware diagnostics, by turning the computer off, hold then FN key and power the system on. this runs the pre system assesment test, if it completes with out errors it will ask you to run extended memory, this test can take long, I would only run it if the bluescreen is related to memory which I will talk about a little more below. if you choose no, it will ask to, test system, test memory or exit, choose test system and then choose the express tests.
if you get a fail code contact tech support, give them the code and it will be replaced.
Good luck
