I just posted another error comment in the hardware section, apparently my laptop has decided to deny me its usage for some reason lately.

 

Anyway, this problem deals with the Function (Fn) key.

 

It doesn't work, period.

 

If I hold down Fn and press end (or the mute volume key), the volume does not mute. Nor can I turn the volume up or down while holding Fn and pressing 'page up' or 'page down.' Also, the 'number pad' doesn't wok, nor does F5 which I'm guessing is a key for the monitor light, unless that's F8 which says CRT/LCD. Either way...nothing works while holding the Fn key. What's the problem? Is it disabled? If so how do I enable it, or, is it simply broken?

 

Help is much appreciated.

 

Oh yes, and the 'K' and 'I' keys do not work from time to time and require firm pressure, and I mean FIRM pressure in order to type the letters. Possible stick? I don't know. It's an old laptop.

Latitude C Family (I think the model is PPX), and it's a hammy-down. So I don't know.
