if I were you I would reinstall Windows and actually go to Windows XP Pro... Vista is really slow, and uses a lot of system resources. maybe giving you problems with the Memory when executing a higth end game.

try going to Windows XP and I guess all will be better. at this time you may have problems with ur windows register.

well, that is true... look at this.. I think this information may be good.. research if your Video card supports "hardware transformation and linghthing" and that it is enabled. several games requiere this to properly run on your computer.

if your computer does not have this support, and the games you are triing to play require of this, then I am affraid you will not be able to play them in your computer. whcih honestly I dont think that is the case on your laptop, that video card shall be able to support that with no problem. just investigate if it is enabled. that is a feature.

Year that I think is a good idea; problem is that I do not have a registrations-key because my home premium vista can’t be downgraded :( But it’s a good idea, I just not gonna spend more money on a Laptop, I think it should work when Dell have build it this way for me.. But a good emergency solution.

8700 gt´s (SLI) 512 GDDR3 memory  

200 GB 7200 rpm HDD.

And you say that you play games with no problems? with drivers and setup are you using :) ?

1st to get the laptop booting on battery: click the start button then in the search bar type msconfig and click on that. When that window opens click on the boot tab at the top. Then where it says boot options check "No GUI Boot"

I am using the latest video driver from the nVidia site (175.32) and the Physx driver from there. I play Crysis on low setting because my processor is too slow to run it on high but it runs without problems for hours.

Check your video card and cpu temps to see if they are getting too hot. That might be the reason for the slow down in frames.  You can use a program like Everest to check that.

But i still lag a little in crysis ;/ I am running it on 1024 * 768, AA off, and medium with Sli enable.

Does it lag because of Sli? because I cant see if Crysis suports Sli, and it is not possible to enable it in Crysis GFX options?  

And any idea what I can do to get my laptop to stop lagging permanently?

Have a look at this thread to help you resolve your issues with Crysis using 8700M GT card. The driver reference is old so I would recommend using the latest version 175.32. I used this setup on my system with 8700M GT card and 2.2GHz CPU.

You should be able to play this game at 1280X1024 with the settings I noted and get 30-40fps.

Important things to remember:

1) Make sure you have applied the latest Crysis patch.

2) All MS hotfixxes related to Sli should be applied

3) Run the game under DirectX9

4) Don't have CPU intensive programs running in the background- Like temp monitoring programs

But I am already using the 175,32 patch and Crysis is fully opdated with the newest 1.2.1 patch.

But then you are saing that I should start it up in DX9 insted of DX10 ? how do I do that?
