how do i re-install "usb root hub"?
i had to format hard drive for some reason (thought I had virus on it, but didn't, another issue...) and have reinstalled system software from the Dell installation disk. everything works but in device manager there is a list of 4 usb root hubs that have a yellow exclamation mark in front of them, so something'smossing. Tried reinstall driver, but Windows couldn't find anything. All USB ports are dead, eg. no device plugged into a usb port is recognised at all.
how can I fix?
System: Dell Inspiron 6400 with 1 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD, Windows XP Home.
Thanks for any advice you can give!!

- Do you have a disc that has all the drivers on it? If so install the drivers on that disc. Otherwise, can you get on the Internet? If so, go to Microsoft and do all the Windows XP updates. This will most likely solve the problem. You just don't seem to have the current USB drivers installed.
