I have just collected an Inspiron 1545 from PC World Today with Windows 7 Home for my son to start learning about computers and the www.

Just to say how utterly dissapointed I am, specifically in relation to the WebCam Manager software, it doesnt work.

I have trawled the dell site and all others I could find spending about over four hours on it to get it set up before he comes home and no success nothing.

By the way I am not computer illiterate before anyone asks, built over 8 systems in the past 10 years.

There is no included software in the box package for the webcam manager so cant re install that, and nowhere to find the software on the dell or creative sites.

I understand from trawling the net that there is no Windows 7 Compatable WebCam Manager software. (Correct me if I am wrong and point me in the right direction

I have version 1.40.05

The webcam works in msn messenger but if I try to start the webcam manager  ZILCH.

Dell, what on earth are you doing, this is a known problem (Now I find)  firstly how have you the gaul to sell a specified laptop that has software that doesnt work.

First laptop I have purchased from Dell, and not sure now if it will be the last.

Any solutions to this problem gratefully accepted
