Inspiron 6400

How do I change the setting to get the Desktop to fill the total area of the Laptop display screen?

There is black space at both the left and right sides of the Desktop.

Right click on the desktop, then Properties, then the Settings tab. Try increasing the resolution.

It's in the bios settings. You can enable the black edge.

Right click Desktop.

Click the Desktop tab.

Select "Stretch" in the Position box.

Apply.

There is also a setting in the BIOS where you can change how the screen stretches.

Thank you. I don't look in the bios as often as some, nor study microcodes, but I had seen it in there.
