Latitude E6230 - sound driver does not work (WIN10)

Hey all,

I have just finished a complete new installation of Win 10 64-bit on my Latitude E6230. However, the soundcard does not work. I did not install any extra drivers for audio or video, Win 10 did this all by itself. In the device manager there is only one entry under audio called "intel display-audio" and it is not possible to install the IDT driver, because during the installation process it says that the hardware is not compatible.

If I uninstall "intel display-audio" the entry is renamed "windows hd audio etc", but still no sound.
However the sound works with external USB DAC speakers and Bluetooth speakers.

I have checked every solution I found on the dell and the microsoft site but nothing worked :/

I would be so happy if it worked again :)

If you're still having this issue, can you Private Message me your Service Tag (please do not post this in the thread)? I would like to take a look at this.

    Best regards,

Maybe I should add that sometimes the sound works for a few minutes but there are quite some interruptions during playback of youtube videos etc

What am I suggested to do with the .cab-file? And is it for the soundcard of an E6230? I am confused :D
