the lcd displays images @ its native resolution
there is an option to stretch smaller resolutions (either in windows video options or in the bios - depending on which video card your system has)

what laptop / video card do you have?

EXCUSE IF THIS IS DUPLICATE ... I GOT A SERVER-NOT-FOUND message at previous attempt

I just reinstalled Win98 and now get only display in middle of LCD about 6"x4" with a blank/black 2" border all around.

Have tried DISPLAY-SETTINGS-ADVANCED  path but only choice there is 640x480 ... and that doesnt even seem relevant.

    HELP

    anmalik,

Press the "FN" and "F7" keys simultaneously during the Dell Boot Up screen or on the Windows 98 loading screen to fix the small screen on boot-up.
