Missing @

In a message on this board february 12, 2004 wrm wrote:
"The @ character on my Swedish keybord has stopped working today(works fine if I use English keybord layout). It must be a software related problem as I use an external keybord connected via a USB. It dosen't work on the actual computer keybord either(in Swedish keybord layout setting). All other characters associated to the Alt Gr button work! Any clues to why this happened & how do I restore the @?"

I have got the same problem with my keyboard,  - anyone who has a solution for this? The problem is the same with the 5150 keyboard as with an usb connected wireless one so it has to be a software problem.

i have now fixed the problem as a dell technician got back to me the same day as i sent another email asking about the problem - it now works perfectly & is so easy to do its unreal !!!!

the problem occured as the keyboard was not set up on uk settings so i changed these as per the instructions & hey presto ! the link for these instructions is below but dont clik the time/date as stated but clik the regional settins icon instead - this is on xphome so on other os it may be as the instructions stated - happy typing !!!!

    here is your answer :-
