My wish list
Does the mobile concept fit my concept?
My wish list:
Under $1,800.00. Under 20 lbs. with handle.
Fast processor
Fast 100 gig HD
1gig ram
20" or larger monitor. Hi-res, fast response, bright with good contrast
Very fast video card in standard upgradable slot for future expansion. Can use manufacturer reference video drivers
DVI to HDMI 10' cable included
AC only power supply has built in surge protector with 2 available AC outlets. Power supply replaceable by consumer but part of system. 10' cord is only cord needed for system. Mouse quiet. Optional large external battery that will power system for 6 hours.
Wireless keyboard made for typing / no touch pad. Wireless mouse.
Wireless LAN, gig Ethernet and modem built in.
6 open USB ports
XP media center
DVD burner
Decent speakers with volume control knob.
Rugged enough to travel on regular basis. 3 year warrenty.
My laptop stinks and my desktop is showing its age. This could be the center of my universe.
I want portability between the office and LAN parties and the living room with my big screen HD TV.
I am a system admin and know the Directors, Board members, President, and CFO would each like one but it has to be basic black to pass as a business expense. I on the other hand want the flame paint job and/or light strips to impress at my LAN parties. Custom accessories are a big market for cars. Why not PCs?
How about translucent flames with rotating colors underneath?

Top on my wish list is being able to pic and choose all the software that gets loaded before being sent to me. I'd actually pay a little bit more to have a cleaner system. It took me hours to uninstall all the unnecessary software loaded on my XPS M140 after I got it and I'm sure there's a lot more on there that I'll never need, but I don't know what it is to be confident of removing it. If you are going to load all the "extras" how about a list of every bit of software you've loaded and a description of the software and its intended purpose. Thanks!
