N7010 microphone missing
I have a new N7010 that has a built-in web cam with microphone but the microphone is not found or recognized by the OS - Windows 7 Home Pro. The audio drivers are the same version as what can be downloaded from Dell. The speakers work fine. No disabled audio devices found. Scan for new hardware finds no microphone. Device manager shows no issues. This computer is pretty much brand new - just out of the box.

perhaps this issue related to webcam problem i'm having with my N7010 since day 1 (again, I was able to run the webcam ONCE before upgrading OS to Window 7 Ultimate)
I recently restored it to the original factory image and OS (Window 7 Home Premium), and installed the latest Dell Webcam Central, it still doesn't work (see http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19359670/19801356.aspx)
apparently the built-in webcam w/ microphone for this model is a defect, and Dell has no solutions for it.
