refund?
I was having problems connecting my Inspiron 1525 to the wireless at my house. I called Dell, and was told it was a software issue. After paying $129.99 to speak with Iyogi, and working with the technician, while installing the drivers I needed, my computer produced a message saying that I am having a "Hard disk" error. I asked the technician what that meant, and he said to not worry about it, just click the remind me later button.
A half hour after getting off the phone with this individual, the message came back. I called Dell again. The lady I was speaking to told me that Tech Support couldn't help me with a refund. Then, I was directed to an individual who deals with hardware.
I was told that my harddrive is "fried" and that a new one will be sent to me.
Installing a new harddrive completely negates everything I did with the first technician. I want my money back, because while I was working with the software guy, I reported this error message. If he was competent, he should have been able to tell me that this would require a new harddrive, that he couldn't help me, and directed me to someone who could.
Getting a hold of a customer service representative was no easy task, and, after explaining my issue, told me that he would be redirecting my call to Tech Support. Tech Support said last night they couldnt help me. How can I get in contact with somebody who knows what's going on?
