I would have posted this in the precision section, but it is deserted.

I have a precision m60 laptop that needs a motherboard. It not covered under warranty (water).

I would like to replace it myself. I have built and repaied several desktops and have made soem repairs on laptops.

Does anyone know of any sites or places of info that might be of help?

A step by step guide or anything with pictures would be nice.

I spoke to a friend who had his motherboard replaced on a Latitude D600 and he said the technician took the screen off. That kind of scares me.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
