Go to SolutionRunning software...
If I have software running on my computer what status do I use to keep it running while not at computer, "Sleep" or "Hibernate"? Or, is there another option? I want the software to run 24 hours a day but when I go to bed for the night and I leave the screen on after awhile it (screen) turns off and I do not know if my software continues to run with the screen off or not. I tried to locate information in the user manual regarding this but cannot find it. So, in summary: I want the software to run 24 hours a day regardless of what my screen does or what the status lights and indicators are doing. Can someone enlighten me as to the proper way to ensure my software runs 24 hours a day? Thanks....
Michael

You do not want the computer to hibernate or sleep.
If the computer screen goes off and the computer is still on, then your software will continue to run.
Go to Start > Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan settings
Make sure that when the computer is plugged in that the setting for "Put the computer to sleep" is set to Never.
