Video Projector Problems with Lat C640

I am having a problem projecting imbedded videos in PowerPoint.  I am using PowerPoint 2003 with imbedded annimations and video's.  They will show up on my laptop screen, but not projected.  I have tried AVI's, WMV's, MP3's and they still do not work.  Any ideas?  By the way, the frame and background are projected, but only a black square appears where the video should be.

No sure about powerpoint, but DVDs will only show on the Primary Display.  Try going into the Display Porperties and setting the projector as the primary display.

If you are interested, with DVDs this is part of the macrovision protection.  I do not know why powerpoint would do this, but the symptoms are the same.  Plays on the primary display and black box on the secondary display.

Not a DVD issue, but thanks.  I did try the primary display option before, no difference.

Video, using Win Media Player specificly, has the same "Overlay" issue Red Dragon mentioned about DVDs... the Projector would have to be your "primary".

Did you set the projector as a display (primary) before opening powerpoint?
