XPS gen 2 6800ultra

I just upgraded from the XPS gen 1 to the XPS gen 2 and i always owned ATI cards.Im not familar at all with nvida graphic settings can somewone familar with this system tell me the best settings? I don't want to manually have to pick the games and change settings for each game i play.I would moreless like to set it for its max potential without overclocking and leave it alone.Any advice would be greatly apreciated.So far this machine is increditable:smileyhappy:smileyvery-happy:

    I take it your looking at the profile page in the nvidia control panel.
    Im not on my laptop but here's from memory.
     
    This is for max performance, not quality
     
    Under Global Settings in the profile page:
     
    Change Image Setting to Performance
     
    Change antialiasing to off and not application controlled.
     
    Change anisotropic filtering to off and not application controlled.
     
    TURN OFF VSYNC <- most important. look for the openGL and Direct3d tabs and turn it off there too.
     
    under Direct3D change MIP map to Best Performance.
     
    That all I can think of off the top of my head, that should get you on your way though. remember you can hover the mouse over options to see what they do. Also if you want there should be an option under "Clock Frequencies" to let the computer automatically overclock the video card to a safe level which is controlled by the drivers, you may want to check that out.

    those settings will get you max performance but the graphics quality suffers...........

    What im looking for if someone can assist me with the settings being im not familar with nvidia.I would like the  happy medium quality and performence as powerfull as this system is i don't see the need to set for performence.Any help would be apreciated.Thanks
