I've just bought a 2007WFP monitor, rev A04 with the S-IPS panel (made in czech republic I think).

The middle of the screen is great, but the right edge has a subtle red tint.  This extends about 3-4 inches into the screen and there is a similar red tint from the left edge, extending about 1 inch.  It's most noticeable (and quite irritating) when reading text on a white background (i.e. has a pinkish hue), but it's also noticeable on darker screens.  Since I bought this screen for photo editing, I'm not confident that my photos will be displayed accurately.

I also see flicker on dark grey backgrounds (like the one my photo editor uses).  These are solid grey backgrounds - all one colour - the eye dropper tools shows every pixel has the same value.

I'm using a DVI cable at 1680x1050 60Hz (native resolution), but I also see the same effect with a VGA input.  I've reset everything back to the factory settings and haven't changed the colour temperature etc.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I get a replacement?
