I have bought a Dell U2414H just a couple hours ago. Im so proud and joyfull, i come home, eat dinner and go to my work room to get my new baby connected. I unwrap it and connect it via DP cable and voila.
It says "No DisplayPort Cable".
I updated the drivers, restated and shut down my computer sever times. Im running one VGA old Philips monitor so i can atleast write this post. Ive tried disconnecting the Phillips and launching the Dell as the only one. Nothing, still the same issue.
Thank you for your effort, i got it to work, ive run the dells detection system in the windows. Ive powerer up the monitor after the detection was initialized and it immediately turned on the signal. Plz help future proud owners of this incredible machine with a bit of a 3rd party program to get it to detected faster then my did.
I lost a lot of nerves but, for me as a designer, totally worth it.
The picture looks amazing and it just breathtaking.
It seems the monitor has been detected by your detection app. Its usb hub does work tho, so i wonder could it be detected via the usb or this is a sign that the dp does work?
A im connectind a DP from the computer to the mDP on the monitor, it says its an DP in slot. Second from the left when you face the rear of the monitor.
I find it strange that my windows shows
So obviously it detects something, but he doesnt have a clue what.
Ive tried identifying the monitor via Dells application, it detectes the Philips but no Dell.
Should i go buy a HDMI to DP cable tomorrow or what?
Im clueless : ( I so wish the monitor was active and running right now.
