Four 2407WFP-HCs - All different colours!

I purchased two 2407WFP-HCs about a month ago. I noticed that one was showing different colours than the other. I reset both to the factory settings to make sure that this wasn't the problem. It was infact already at the factory settings, so it didn't make a difference at all. I called Dell. They sent me a replacement monitor so that I could compare all three monitors with each other. Again, I made sure that all the monitors were at their factory settings. This monitor again was different to the first two. Called Dell again and they sent me a fourth to compare. Received that monitor today and I must say that I'm very disappointed to see that out of six different combinations (1&2, 1&3, 1&4, 2&3, 2&4, 3&4), not any two of them matched colours. I would like to know: 1. Is it common for this to happen? 2. Shouldn't the same model be of the exact same colours, brightness and contrast when set to the factory setting? 3. What could I do to get my two monitors to look the same?

My understanding is that this is common - no two monitors are exactly the same.

The best bet would be to calibrate them using a hardware colorimeter - see TFT Central's Monitor Calibration Guide

    ilmolto,

Gpro is correct. No two monitors will be identical. I would still like to check the order history. Please provide me with the following information in a private message -

    Shipping address:
    Phone:
Order number and/or Service tag number:

I doubt that's the case because everyone that I've asked to come and look at them have said the same thing. Even my dad who's 55 said they're different.

    ilmolto,

I looked at several in the lab, none of them were exactly like the others as far as color. You would need to get something like a Spyder2 Colorimeter to get them as close as you want.
