Well I don't think you will get an A02. I ordered 2 days ago. It came today, and can you believe that they sent me an A00!!!!!!

Well I talked to a sales rep before putting down the money for it and they assured me I will be getting the fixed ones. Seems the rep listens but does not pass the message to the guy packing my order. lol

Here in SG, I've read a couple of cases where buyers were promised by the telesales personnel that they'll be getting fixed revisions, yet they got A00s in the end as well.

 

i ordered my Dell 2007WFP on 4th june 06 and got it today, rev A00 made in China LPL panel.

was told by the Dell sales rep at the Singapore PC fair that i would definitely be receiving the newer revision and that the banding issue had been resolved. well obviously he didnt know what he was talking about.. i think someone needs to clamp down on these salesmen making false promises to people.

anyways, have shot Chris a PM. not sure if i should go through him or his Singapore counterpart. either way i need to wait til monday before i can ring up dell singapore..

Yeah they should tell the sales reps to NOT to promise the new revisions. In my situation, if they would have told me to wait for 2 days for the new revision, I would. But no point sending me an A00 and then send me another A02 and make me ship the A00 back. Really weird way of doing it. I mean for me, I am quite ok with it as long as Dell pays for the shipping - but I can't bear to see money wasted like that. :)

Hey Chris....I'm dying to buy the 2407WFP and been waiting fr it to be available on line. For a while it did now show any prelimary date of shipping. I see that its now ready for shipping. What do you think...should I wait a month longer to make sure to get the new rev. A02 or should I go ahead and order it?
