I'm using Dell U2417H with my MacBook Air. Will DDM work for my monitor?

Unfortunately, no. You can see on the U2417H driver page that there is no Apple support.
The DDM under "Supported Operatings Systems" also only lists Windows =
DELL-Chris M (old account)#IWork4Dell
