U2718Q, USB question

In the menu configuration, if I have selected "keep the USB ports OFF", do the USB ports turn off when U2718Q is in standby or only when the U2718Q is turned off using its power button?

Know that to have access in the Windows operating system to the U2718Q four USB 3.0 downstream ports and the devices plugged into those USB 3.0 downstream ports, the USB 3.0 upstream cable must be connected to a computer USB 3.0 port. But, "OSD Menu- Personalize- USB On/Off" during Standby mode is ONLY available when the USB 3.0 upstream cable is disconnected.

    The User's Guide page 22 states =
The monitor's USB interface works only when the monitor is On or in the power save mode. If you turn Off the monitor and then turn it On, the attached peripherals may take a few seconds to resume normal functionality.

Concerning the "OSD Menu- Personalize- USB On/Off"

The User's Guide page 41 for USB states =
Allows you to enable or disable USB function during monitor standby mode. USB On/Off during Standby mode is only available when the USB 3.0 upstream cable is unplugged. This option will be greyed out when the USB 3.0 upstream cable plugs in.

So with the USB 3.0 upstream cable connected, this "USB On/Off" option is greyed out, meaning, they are automatically On during Standby mode. If you want them to turn Off during Standby mode, disconnect the USB 3.0 cable and then choose Off in OSD Menu- Personalize- USB Off.
