U2723QE, using USB-C MacBook and hub for DP PC

Hi, I just got this today and mistakenly thought the U2723QE had two USB-C ports. I'm using one to power and display my MacBook Pro but also have a PC that I'm using with DisplayPort.

I basically want to hub to work for both devices but it seems the only way is to swap out the USB-C cable each time. I'm sure that's not the case but I need your help.

Before I start throwing away my money on useless cables, is it possible to use a USB-A to USB-A to connect the DP PC to the U2723QE and get the benefit of the hub on both devices?

Thanks in advance, all ideas welcome.

    The P series monitors are not validated with macOS. See the P2723QE drivers page. You would be better suited to the return the $479.99 P2723QE and purchase the $624.99 U2723QE.

    The P2723QE does not have the USB-C upstream port. In theory, you will have to disconnect the USB-C to USB-C cable from the P2723QE. Then connect the USB-C to USB-A cable from the P2723QE to the PC DP USB-A port.

    PC DP out --> P2723QE DP to DP cable --> P2723QE #5 DP in port

    MacBook Pro USB-C out --> U2723QE 1M USB-C to USB-C cable --> U2723QE #5 USB-C in port (Video + Data). Data means access to all of the U2723QE ports (USB-A 9/10/11/12/14, USB-C downstream 15). So only one cable needed.

    PC DP out --> U2723QE 1.8M DP to DP cable --> U2723QE #4 DP in port
    PC USB-A --> U2723QE 1M USB-A to USB-C cable --> U2723QE #8 USB-C upstream port

    Thanks Chris, so it looks like I accidentally got the P2723QE rather than the U2723QE.  I had no idea there were two models with almost the same name.

    Can you assist with this given the new knowledge?

    Also, what are the other differences between the two monitors?

    Thanks
