U2917W, audio out instructions

Just hooked up a new gaming desktop and monitor from Dell. The audio will not go to the U2917W with integrated speakers (incorrect). I have checked the settings on the computer and the are selected as the Dell monitor I have also checked the audio settings on the U2917W and the only options I have are Audio source and Reset Audio. The only available option for audio source is Main.I need help! Please! I have tried enabling and disabling using different inputs like display port. Updating drivers.

According to what I see in the manual, the audio input is via HDMI connection.  There are no speakers in the monitor.  It has an audio out connector and option to use a Dell soundbar for speakers.

fireberd is correct in that the U2917W monitor does not have built-in speakers.

But, you can use the #7 Audio line-out port for external speakers when connecting the U2917W to the computer via HDMI (#2/#3), DP (#4), or mDP (#5).
