U3219Q, two, connect two PCs when using built-in KVM?
Setup: PC #1 Latitude 7420 with WD19TBS, PC #2 with GTX 1050
I plan to use 2x Dell UltraSharp U3219Q Monitors and display the PC’s desktop in “Extended desktop” mode to the 2x Dell UltraSharp U3219Q Monitors.
Question:
1 – Does the Dell UltraSharp U3219Q Monitor support Daisy Chaining? Over which interfaces?
2 - Can I use the built-in KVM to select which of the two PCs drives its 4K video to both U3219Q in “Extended desktop” mode?
3 - How should I connect 2x U3219Q to 2x PCs when using its built-in KVM? Is there more than 1 correct way of connecting 2x U3219Q to 2 x PC?
I briefly reviewed the Dell Display Manager (DDM).
Question:
4 - Can the DDM configure 2x Dell UltraSharp U3219Q Monitors to switch between more than 2 PCs? Can one of these PCs run Linux ubuntu?
5 – Is managing 2x Dell separate Monitors more difficult and prone to problems? Do you recommend I opt for 1x Dell wide-screen monitor instead of 2x separate Dell Monitors? For example the DDM PiP, PbP mode and “Auto-switch in PbP side by side” split-screen configuration, is that also possible with 2x separate Dell Monitors?

You will find ports and connectors (also below) do not have DisplayPort out for daisy chaining setup. Therefore, to use KVM to switch between devices, each device must be independently supporting dual monitors in extended mode.
Solution: get another monitor that supports daisy chaining (DisplayPort out) and KVM. Setup as the first monitor in dual monitors setup. Any device being switched to active device will have access to dual monitors and connected peripherals.

Will a u3223qe that supports DisplayPort MST (Multi-Stream Transport) and KVM work? Will a daisy chain going from u3223qe to u3219q work, i.e. the u3219q be the second (or last) monitor in a dual monitor setup? Any limitations with this setup?

Yes, a U3223QE will support daisy chaining setup as first monitor. Connecting DisplayPort #6 from U3223QE to DisplayPort #4 of U3219Q. See ports view below. For the daisy chain setup to work, the devices (PC, laptop) must support MST and be connected to U3223QE monitor via DisplayPort #4 or USB-C #5.

U3223QE, two, connect two PCs when using built-in KVM?
I bought 2 x U3223QE and have question on how to connect them to 2 x PCs and be able to use KVM?
Based on earlier response I I plan to connect PC#1 with DP cable to U3223QE#1 and daisy chain with DP cable to U3223QE#2. How do I connect PC#2?

PC #2 must have USB-C supports DisplayPort Alt mode. Connect via USB-C cable to port #5 on the first monitor. The connection will also support upstream data, allowing the control of peripherals connected to the monitor such as mouse, keyboard.
Use the included cable USB A to C and connecting PC #1 to first monitor port #8 for upstream connection.

What if PC#2 does not have USB-C with DisplayPort Alt mode, only has 1 x DP.
PC#1 is HBR3 PC connected to WD19TBS which has 1 x USB-C Thunderbolt 3 and 2 x DP1.4.

If PC#2 does not have USB-C, then I presume we use USB-C from PC#1 and use DP of PC#2 and interconnect the two monitors over DP?

To keep it from confusion with older information previously discussed, you could have close the thread after received the answers. And open new thread with question for How to connect 2 monitors U3223QE to 2 PCs with KVM. The topic title and the new answers will cause confusion for other members following your thread.
Anyway, below is the visual connection of your new monitors U3223QE, with connectivity options.
Instructions for dual monitors, dual PC setup:
For daisy chaining your monitors, use the included DisplayPort cable and connect first monitor port #6 to second monitor port #4.
For dual PC connection, all cables will be connected to first monitor:
* Connecting thunderbolt port from the Latitude laptop to USB-C port #5 of first monitor
* Connecting the DisplayPort from the PC to DisplayPort #4 of first monitor
* Connecting the included cable USB-C (A to C) from the PC (USB-A) to the first monitor (USB-C) port #8
Connecting all peripherals to the first monitor #9, 10, 12 and 13. Remove the WD19TBS from the setup.
