From what I know, this monitor only has DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 ports, which don't support 10 bit color. Additionally, Windows tells me that HDR and WCG are not available on this monitor.
Just wondering then how it can support wide color formats if it can only display 8 bit per channel color. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to get a straight answer.

It supports 10bit color by means of 8bits per channel + FRC = Color Depth: 1.07B, 10bit (8bit + 2bit FRC frame rate control). But most software will treat it as an 8bit monitor.
Do you know if there is a list anywhere of which software can take advantage of the 8bit + FRC type setup? And if so, how I go about setting that up?
HDR I'm not really interested in, but colour accuracy is important.
On a side note I feel like Dell should really be more transparent with this sort of thing and how to set it all up, especially since it's being sold as a colour accurate display. It shouldn't be this difficult to use the display for it's intended purpose.
For anyone else reading this. I was able to enable 10 bit emulated (8 bit + FRC) within my Nvidia GTX 970 display drivers. I have the Nvidia GTX 970 card connected to the UP2716D with the DisplayPort cable. See here for more information see this =
It didn't affect the color gamut, but enabling it did perceivably reduce banding on gradients when working in Affinity Photo in 16 bit RGB mode, which is what I expected.
