jumbo patch

If I upgrade the NW server to the JUMBO, is necessary to update all clients immediately?

It is not. FYI, 7.3.1 might be released for 2 days. 7.3.2 (to be released in August) will have capability where you do automatic updates of clients from server (finally!).

Of course, that's what has been scheduled - hopefully it won't get delayed.

Just keep in mind that all the storage nodes and NW server have to be at the same nsrmmd levels. So I would recommend that you upgrade all your storage nodes as well if you upgrade the NW server.

Only those clients that are storage nodes will have nsrmmd processes.

General rule of thumb is that server and storage nodes must have same version/build. In the past it was possible to have different patch levels between those, but when it comes to major release then it is required to have them on the same level. Clients usually can go one major release down and have no problems (not always the case).

I am not sure what levels my nsrmmd is running on each of my machines but I have various platforms and various releases of NW running on each of them. Most of my Windows clients are running 7.3, my UNIX (AIX) server and clients are running 7.2.1 and I am not even sure what level my other UNIX (Tru64) client is running as I know it hasn't been updated in a couple years and they are all working well, no problems at all.
